Our Directors
Maria Brosnan is Managing Director and co-founder of Day One Productions Ltd. A professional filmmaker, musician and songwriter with over 20 years’ experience, Maria is originally from Australia and has travelled, performed and studied all over the world. Together with the team at Day One, Maria created the award winning ‘The Story Spinner’ DVD series, ‘Stories from Around the World’ and the ‘Story Spinner Learning’ CPD materials and wrote the theme music for the DVDs.
Eric Loren is a director and co-founder of Day One Productions Ltd. Eric originally trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama and has performed extensively in London theatres, on television and film. Eric was a founding member of the White Knuckle Theatre Association as script editor and director and is also an associate director for the Theatre of Eternal Values. Eric directed his first short ‘Cracked Eggs’ in 2007 which was in competition at three international film festivals .The short has now been developed into the feature film ‘Charlie Don’t Surf” which he is on board to direct. Eric directed the award winning ‘The Story Spinner’ series, ‘Stories from Around the World’ and the ‘Story Spinner Learning’ CPD materials.
John Brosnan is a director and co-founder of Day One Productions Ltd and creator of the original idea and concept of producing traditional storytelling on film which led to the company’s award winning ‘The Story Spinner’ DVD series. John has wide experience as a performer, producer, musical director and multimedia designer with theatre productions around the world and currently performs as a guest artist with many of the world’s most renowned Symphony Orchestras.
John has also taught and lectured on Oriental Philosophy and Ancient Traditions and this extensive knowledge has contributed significantly to the development of the original concept.
