Below is a selection of the lesson plans available on our new CPD pack, ‘Story Spinner Learning’.

We hope you find lots of ideas and inspiration to get started using the Story Spinner stories in the most creative and flexible ways.

We have also compiled an extensive Book List designed to help you extend the experience of the stories.  The DVDs can be viewed as simply another text type.

There is an extensive plan for one story on each Story Spinner DVD, written by one of our highly experienced consultants. Tried and tested in the classroom, these plans will save you time, demonstrate the enormous cross-curricular potential of The Story Spinner stories and enable you to ‘jump in’ and start using the stories easily and effectively.

The Circular Plans are based on those used in the National Strategies and Talk for Writing materials (with thanks and acknowledgment to the UKLA.) They are designed to be used as the basis for an entire literacy unit of work.

The Creative Links and Literacy Links provide lots of ideas for stand alone activities. And the Talking Points are a great way to generate ideas and lively discussion and a very good general starting point.
